Camp Watanopa, located on Georgetown Lake, lies in the shadow of the Pintler Mountains. Georgetown Lake is known for it's clean mountain air and beautiful scenery.

Campers are housed in rustic cabins with bunk beds for 14. A log lodge is the center of indoor activities and dining, while modern bathroom facilities and a first aid cabin round out a blend of camping and comfort.

During the 2010 season, Camp Watanopa will offer a one-week session during July.

The Outdoor experience which Camp Watanopa provides gives children the opportunity to gain self-reliance, share an adventure and feel comfortable in a natural environment.
ATTENTION TEENS!

If you are 14 or 15 by the start of camp, Camp Watanopa offers a one-week Training Counselor Program.
The program provides the skills and knowledge needed to apply for future jobs as camp counselors.

The "TC's", as they're known, assist the cabin counselors with various programs and activities during the two weeks. Under the supervision of professional staff, the TC's learn the responsibilities of being a camp counselor.

To apply for this program send a completed Training Counselor application along with an application form and payment for the program.

Camp Watanopa is a place for kids to belong and feel safe because they are immediately part of the "Camp W" family. Our approach is dynamic and child-based, emphasizing exploration and adventure. Camp Watanopa is a place where having fun, building self confidence and a desire for further discovery is emphasized.
